Cooper & Cooper

Clarence went to the Co-op and weird thing...
They call their "baby Bevo's" - "COOPER".
They had this SUPER cute stuffed longhorn with a jersey on that says the name "Cooper". Now, I am not a fan of the color, but Cooper loves it!!
I am just starting to wonder if Clarence KNEW that they were named "Cooper" when we named our son?!?! Sounds a little fishey to me!!
Cooper fell asleep on the couch while we played Sing Star...
he must have been REAL tired!!

Trail of Lights

We planned to go to the Trail of Lights with my Uncle & his family.
Well,... Uncle Pete got a nasty stomach bug, so I told him to keep his germs at home, but Amy and Eli still joined us for a night out!!

We had SO much fun!

Here is Lexi & Eli at the entrance into the Trail of Lights.
It is thousands and thousands of lights!!

Cooper had it made!!
He got to ride in the comforts of the wagon.
Thank goodness for bottles of water and lots of snacks!

Showing off the flashy piece of junk that I seem to be addicted to this year!

As you can guess,... THIS didn't last very long!

If you have never been to the Trail of Lights, I would recommend going,... however, just know it IS crowded and the displays don't change very often.
It is something I would do again, but I will wait a couple of years to go.
BONUS - it is FREE!

I wish I could have gotten a picture with Amy.
My camera died at the end, so maybe when I get her pictures, I will add more :)

Lexi's Class Party

Lexi's last day of school for the year -
They got to wear PJ's to school & we had LOTS of fun!

Lexi & this boy won a game at musical chairs.
I think it's funny that they wouldn't stand so close to each other.

They made these cute door hangers.

Cooper got to join in on some of the fun
(thanks to our AWESOME Homeroom mom).

Cooper's Playgroup has a Christmas Party!

We had a little Christmas party & Book Exchange for Cooper's playgroup.
His playgroup just so happens to be all boys... they are all within 6 months (I think) apart.
They are at such a cute age where they are really starting to play SO well with each other.

Here are all the boys with their new books.

Cooper with Gavin.

Lexi's Christmas Play

Lexi's class did a little play for Christmas.
Lexi played the role of "teacher" and my cousin Daisy got to come!

Oh look,... my little Drama Queen!

She is SO funny - she really wanted to memorize her lines - it was VERY important to her that she did. Well,... she was the ONLY one in the class that did and some of the parents asked me if I made her! ha ha....

Posing with Daisy.

Winter Wonderland!!

Aunt Suzie heard about something new they were doing at Schlitterbahn -
WINTER WONDERLAND!

So,... we looked it up on-line and it looked like lots of fun.
We loaded up the car and headed that way!

We gave Lexi (the dare-devil) two choices -
ice skating or sledding.
She picked sledding.
Since Cooper was 100% opposed to going, I sat with him, while Suzie took Lexi.

They had to stand in line to get their sled, then off to the top of the "mountain".

It was VERY hard to capture the "moment" of them sliding down, so this is the best I could do.
Look closely & squint - it really is them!!

Lexi LOVED it - here she is right after getting off!!

One of the great things, is that they serve funnel cake!!
WOO-HOO: a family fave!

Both kids got to even participate in a show.

They were given gold chocolate coins for their participation.
What? did somebody say chocolate?
Ahhhh yes,... my chocoholic son!!

There were lots of places for the kids to play and run around.

Here they are with the Christmas lights and their
flashy necklaces I found that i HAD to buy them!

And,... now with the flash on so we can see their cute faces!

I would recommend to do this next year. There were lots of people there, but didn't seem TOO crowded b/c there was SO much to do!!

Lexi's First Pedicure

In 2007, for Lexi's Birthday I gave her a certificate to get a pedicure with me.
So,.... after ALL of this time has passed, we JUST now went!
"Mom of the Year!"

I called my neighbor to ask her where she goes, and her & her daughter wanted to come with us.
So - it was a double date.

Here is Lexi in the chair.

Here's all of our CUTE piggies!!
Lexi's is at the top.

Thanks Joyce & Valerie for a FUN afternoon :)

A trip to Bethlehem

A church within our community put together a re-enactment of the town of Bethlehem.
It was AWESOME!!!!
The kids had SO much fun and it really taught the kids a lot.

It started off by having to pay your taxes (diapers that were donated to a local children's' shelter) and a visit by the guards.
We had to explain to them our reason for entering the city.

Then we had to sign the census.

The event was very hands-on. We got to do LOTS of fun things, like...

Go to the carpentry shop and learn how to drill a hole.
I bet it took a really long time to build a house without a drill!!

Play with clay and see how pottery was made.
Vases and dishes - good thing we have Target now!

We re approached by a magi (one of the Three Wise men).
He was looking for a baby that had been born in the town of Bethlehem.
"He is our new king."

A stop at the herb shop where Lexi ground up Rosemary.

The kids learned about hos to make mosaics and made a tile for themselves!

We even got to learn how to make rope.

Ahhh....
We found the baby!!!
His name is Jesus - Cooper was OH SO CONFUSED!!

The townspeople are dancing in rejoice -
THE KING IS HERE!

This was such a wonderful event!
I really hope that they continue to do it every year!!

Round Rock Family Night

Our town has a "Family Christmas Night" every year. Usually I have sick kids all season long, so we have never made it. Well, this year everyone was well, so we made it!!

And,... it was miserable! It is a free event, which means TONS of people!
We showed up before it started, and luckily ran into one of Lexi's classmates.
They were headed to the library and invited us to tag along.
We went there, made an ornament & went to a puppet show.
When we came out, the library had wall to wall people!
Then we went outside, to find wall-to-wall people.

The kids were hungry, so we found the line for the free hot dogs - it was at least 2 blocks long!
OK,... let's try Kettle Corn,.... also 2 blocks.
Oh look, there's Santa,.... couldn't see the end of the line!!

So,... I asked the kids, "Hey - what if we make hot chocolate at home and I pick up Golden Chick on the way home?" They were actually VERY excited about that!!

So,... here's the only pic I took....

Shining Star Christmas Party

Shining Stars had a Christmas party ALL together -
that's 60 girls PLUS the RRHS Dragonettes!
Whew - it was crazy, but the girls had a BLAST!!
The Dragonettes were AWESOME. They played games with the girls and cut out squares of wax paper for the girls to "ice skate".

Crickett

Our dog, Crickett is WONDERFUL!
She is SO funny & let's us do anything to her - dress her up,... anything!

Here, we were outside playing in the leaves and we buried her in the leaves.
It's just SO funny, because she doesn't move, just chills and let's the kids have fun!

Isaac's B-Day Party

Happy Birthday Isaac!!!

One of my good friends from High School lives very close to us, and one of her sons had a b-day party! I put pics of the boys up so that our other friends' can see them.
Lexi had just gotten home from a sleepover, so she was in NO mood to go to a birthday party.

Here's Cooper enjoying the icing!

Jax & Cooper

Cooper digging for dinosaur bones.

Lexi gets Glasses!!

Lexi needed glasses. It took her a while to find a pair that she LOVED, but she finally found some. They look SO cute!
