Lexi's school had their annual Field Day.
It was SO much fun!!

They had lots of obstacle races...

The theme was "Go Green - Recycle",

Lots of fun water play!

They made cute anklets with color changing beads...

American Idol Finale!

SOOOO,... American Idol is one of the FEW "family" TV shows out there...
so it IS our obsession!
We LOVE it and watch it every season from beginning to end!

As the end of the season drew to an end,
Lexi asked if she could invite 2 of her"Wild About Idol" friends over to watch the finale.
It WAS a school night, but I gave in.

OH BOY,... was I in for a surprise!

Lexi and Cooper made this banner:
"Adam Rocks"
"Go Adam"

Bailey made some cute signs to hang around the living room.
Check out the drawing of Adam!

Awww... apparently Bailey & Lexi are Adam fans.

Maia made these REALLY yummy sugar cookies.
1/2 of them had an "A" for Adam
and the other half a "K" for Kris.
Wish I would have taken a picture - SHOOT!

And,... let's not forget Cami,... she was here also!

OK,... so they were W-I-L-D!!
I mean,... REAL WILD!
It was HILARIOUS!!

This was not MY idea,... they were being SUCH goofballs!

I mean,... shouldn't we be watching Idol?
Nah,... we'll take funny pictures in between songs!

I had to BRIBE them to take a normal, cute picture!
SERIOUSLY?!?!
But, I must say - they sure are precious!!

Here's where the night starts to get a little blurry :)
As Adam and Kiss are singing
"I want to Rock and Roll all night...
and party every day...",
It must have triggered the inner party animal in these girls & Coop...
Words cannot describe...
You MUST watch!

And the winner is...
There were 2 Kris fans...
Can you pick out which ones?
ha ha...

The two Kris fans are:
Maia & Cami!
They rejoice as Kris says his acceptance speech!

Such a FUN night!
Thanks everyone for being the awesomest!

Gymnastics Graduation

Lexi took tumbling this year.
It really helped her to gain strength and be more "centered",
which in turn helped her in her dance.

We are SO proud of her!

Lexi with Coach Cathy!

Ta-Da!

Kids Link Graduation

During this school year, we have been going to a Kids Link/Awanas program at our church.
The kids have a curriculum & have to memorize Bible versus each week.
I taught the Kindergarten class this year.
We all had such a great year, Kind of sad for it to be over.

They DID have a graduation and award ceremony.

Here is Cooper with some of his classmates.

Followed by a POPSICLE party!

Cooper's Soccer

Cooper just finished his session in Soccer.
He had a GREAT time and learned a LOT!

Cooper & his coaches:

Listening to Coach Noelle...
Intent listening or is he bored?

Running the ball down the field!

Cooper's 1st Attempt to Skate

While playing in the garage, Cooper found a pair of skates that his God-Brother, Cole had given him. He really wanted to put them on!

And now, presenting... Cooper's 1st Skating attempt:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

For Mother's Day this year, Clarence had to work, but later we had My in-laws over for a nice dinner!
Lexi made this really cute poster board.

She also woke up early, woke Cooper up, and made me breakfast in bed, which consisted of:

Watermelon,
an M&M cookie,
& Lemon pound cake with the letters I Heart U in blue icing,
and topped with chopped peanuts!

YUMMY! & SO sweet!!

Here's a picture that Rollie took of us.

Anne & Clarence

Once Anne & Rollie left, we turned the water on to water the grass...
The kids went WILD!
I guess the Texas Heat must already be getting to them :)

I missed my mom during Mother's Day but was blessed to have such a Wonderful day!

Butterfly Release

Last year for Cooper's Birthday, Aunt Suzie got him a butterfly habitat and a certificate to get some caterpillars. So, this spring we ordered the worms and grew some butterflies. once, I go over the creepiness of it, I thought it was pretty cool!
Both kids really enjoyed watching the worms grow FAST, spinning cocoons, & hatching.
I think we'll do it every spring!

Here are the kids with the habitat right before we released them.

When you watch the below video, we thought that once we unzipped the door, they would all come fluttering out. Well,... after 30 minutes, we tried using an orange half to lure them out.
It took FOREVER!

But, they finally caught on and all made it out.
It was really cool!

1st Baseball game of the season

One of our favorite summer time activities is going to the Round Rock Express baseball games,... well at least as long as it's not 1,000 degrees!
We went on a Friday night - which means FIREWORKS! Bonus!!

Cooper likes to give the players a "high five" on the way through the ally.

Wonder who and what Lexi is texting!

Yummy... snowcones!

Chillaxing on the blanket.

GO ROUND ROCK!

GOOFY CHILDREN!

Here is an example of how goofy my children are!
A day in the life...

The even begged me to post it on the blog!

Cooper & I graduate from MOPS

I have been involved in a WONDERFUL Christian group called
MOPS since before I was pregnant with Cooper!
I have been on steering team for 3 years, and my season with MOPS has come to an end :(
We had a sweet graduation, where Cooper even got recognized.

Cooper with his diploma.

Here's the video of Cooper graduating. Funny thing, the director said, "Cooper Keese. I think Parker has been in MOPS since he was born."... ha ha... But, YES... Cooper has been in MOPS since he was born.

If there are any moms of pre-schoolers out there that are looking for something to enrich their lives, I would strongly suggest looking for a MOPS group in your area. It is a GREAT way to bond with other moms and get that well-deserved "ME" time. Plus, the kids have a great
curriculum that they follow and they have a blast!

NO training wheels and scooters!

Lexi has been asking us for 2 years to please take off her training wheels.
Imagining that I would have to take her to an empty parking lot and work with her over and over again, I kept putting it off... over and over! YES - Mom of the Year

This past week, she was really bugging me, so on Saturday, Clarence & I were going to get the yard work done. I took her training wheels off, moved the seat up to the right height,
aired up the tires, gave her her helmet and turned her loose in the back yard. I told her that after working on the yard, I would help her.

WELL,.... by the time I got around to the back yard, she asked to come to the front.
Trying to prepare her, I told her, "OK,... but just know that riding on concrete is a lot different and you're probably going to fall."
Lexi is a perfectionist and I thought she should be prepared.

She came to the front, got on her bike, and rode it down the street!!
AMAZING!!!
