bowling

OH what a fun time bowling!! Cooper had never been before and we all had a blast!!
I wish this picture turned out a little bit better, but I think, his enthusiasm still shows! he would be SO excited to get just one pin knocked over.
lexi did awesome! she is really getting down her form.

cooper was VERY intense. he ended up getting a strike, and you would have thought he won the lottery!

lexi was trying out a double-handed side throw.

cooper's favorite thing was to let the air blow up on his hair!

Lora visits!

my friend Lora came into town! we had a LOT of fun catching up and visiting with bridget and suzie.here's clarence and i.

bridget, me, and lora

lexi's last day

lexi had her last day of kinder. WOW.... i was much sadder than i ever thought i would be. i was upset that first day, but then it hit me.... she is now a 1ST GRADER!! then after that, a 2ND GRADER,..... do you see where i am going with this? it just went by WAY TOO fast!!
to celebrate lexi making it through the year, we ended the year the way we began. we had a party!! we cooked her fave food (ribs) and had suzie over. she LOVED it and had a blast!
of course, balloons had to be involved....
and it's not a party, without decorations! lexi LOVED it and really felt special!

sweetberry farms

one day, i took the kids to sweetberry farms in marble falls. we had such a good time!! here are the kids picking strawberries from the strawberry patch. lexi enjoyed this, cooper just wand to play in the dirt! :)
i really liked this picture. we were in the blackberry patches. the blackberries were still green, but the kids had a big conversation between the two of them and they were determined that they were going to find some that were ready to pick. even though they did not find any, it was so sweet!!

look closely, they are peeking through the ladybug spots!!

after eating a packed lunch ad some homemade strawberry icecream, made RIGHT there on the farm (and it is YUMMY!!!), we picked some potatoes. this was the kids favorite part - ...playing in the dirt! who knew?

cooper got tired of the potatoes soon, and just wanted to have some
good ole' dirt time!!

coopie

here are some fun pictures of cooper:

here he is at an inflatable warehouse. he absolutely LOVES going there but he will only get in ONE of the jumpables! PLEASE explain this! he does get to run around like crazy! maybe that's the appeal!

see how happy he is here! seriously, he LOVES it!
and,... he hates talking on the phone. here is one of the rare instances that he actually wanted ot be on the phone. he is talking to grandma cissy and big daddy and,..... maybe swiper, the cat.

camp-out

Lexi was a "daisy" girl scout this past year, and she LOVED it!!
as a troop, we were invited to join the older girls on one of their camp-outs (kindergartners are not allowed to stay overnight). The place we went to was beautiful, but it was SO stinkin' cold!! I felt really bad for the girls that had braved the bad storm the night before! Luckily, all of the moms in Lexi's troop are weinies like me, so we didn't stay the whole day!
Still, the girls had a blast and felt "grown" hanging out with the bigger girls.

Here is Lexi with her assigned buddy. They made habitats out of shoe boxes.
Here is the troop right before we headed home. They had just about had enough, and I know the moms were all ready to go!

happy Easter!!

we had a SUPER fun Easter!!! it was held a our house. my cousin, daisy brought this beautiful cake... isn't it cute! it tasted yummy too!!
granny and grandaddy came oer. here they are having fun with the kiddos.

grandma cissy and big daddy came up to spend the holiday with us. we ALL had SOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!! even though it was a little cold, we managed and just made our Easter egg hunt a little shorter.

here we are the day before dyeing the eggs.

clarence got in on the fun and helped coop out.

daisy brought over SO many cupcakes and cookies for us to decorate. it took us a few hours to get it all done. but,.... we got to sample everything as we went along.

and,.... and Easter just wouldn't be the same without big daddy's "egg ears".....

firestation

cooper and i recently had a trip to the firestation. coop was leary at first, but then he warmed up.... until..... the fireman put on the full suit. then,.... he freaked out and cried and wanted to go home. quite the ordeal!!!
he calmed enough to take these pictures:

hanging with my girl!!

I got to go out with only grown-ups to celebrate the 30th birthday and one of my old high school friends. lora came into town, so OF COURSE, we had fun!!

don't we look good!?!?

OF COURSE,.... the next day i was SOOOOOO tired!!

i am not the spring chicken i used to be. hee hee
