July 4th

For July 4th, this year, we ventured away from our house - pretty sure FIRST time EVER!

We can see lots of fireworks from our back deck, so I am usually not very adventurous.

But, I have to say - we had LOTS of fun!!

My parents took all of the grandkids to Rockport for a few days, and I was fortunate enough to get to tag-a-long to help out with the crazy!!

July 4th Block Party

For July 4th, all of the neighbors grilled and we all hung out in the front. It really was SO much fun - besides the few close calls we had from cars that were driving by!

YIKES!

But, we learned a lot (for example - it is a VERY bad idea to have a water balloon war across the street)... and still had a GREAT time!

I made Rice Krispies on a stick with Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles.

They were SUPER cute, but it was SO hot outside, they were falling off of the sticks.
