And the winner is...

We have ALL been following American Idol VERY closely...
We've seen some of our faves come & god,
and have seen some stick around longer than we would have liked.
It has been a family affair!!


Last night, we made popcorn and got out the ice cream for the BIG finale!
We are ALL HUGE David Cook fans, but deep down thought David A. would win only because he would have the "teenie bopper" vote.

We were VERY excited when David Cook was announced the winner!!
His expression was priceless!

The kids were running and screaming around the house!

Lexi's final Dance Show

Recently, Lexi had her last performance as a Silver Star. It brought LOTS of emotions from me,.... one being that she is NO longer a "silver baby".... she has matured and grown SO much,... it is a little upsetting!

Cowboy Cooper

Recently, Cooper was invited to a "cowboy birthday" party. He wanted to get ALL dressed up! As SOON as we got there, he decided he was TOO hot and wanted to take it all off!! So,...beforehand, I was able to capture the moment!

Cooper's trip to the ranch

We recently visited a ranch with our MOMS club.
At first,... Cooper was VERY afraid f the goats.
Here I am trying to convince Cooper to feed the goat.
But,... NO GO!!

He was VERY willing to pose in front of the corral sign.

OH,... Cooper running away from the goat!

After about 30 minutes of HIM doubting himself, he decided to ride the horse. BUT it HAD to be the LITTLE one! And,... mom had to come along!! It was GREAT!! He had SO much FUN and he was SO proud of himself!!

FINALLY, right before we left, he wanted to feed the goat!!
Woo-hoo - GO COOPER!!

HOWEVER.... he NEVER made it into the bunny cage - that was a NO WAY!!!

Mother's Day Celebration

The night before Mother's Day, we went to Clarence's Aunt's & Uncle's house.
We had a GREAT time!

Cooper & Lexi had a FUN time playing with their second cousins, Aiden & Avery.

Mother's Day

The day before Mother's Day, I was treated to a massage!!
It was my very first one and my first time into a spa.
I really liked it and the people there were very nice!

On Mother's Day, Clarence had to work, so the kids and I played around the house.
Later that evening, we cooked one of my FAVORITE dishes,...
grilled avocados stuffed with salsa chicken & cheese...
YUMMY!!

Cooper graduates from Cubbies

Cooper recently had his graduation from his 3 year-old Cubbies class!
He had a GREAT year and such WONDERFUL teachers!!

would raise his hands, clap, and shake his head!

Lexi's Fun Run

I'm not really too sure what a "fun run" is,... because there is NO part about running that is FUN to me. But,... the kids seemed to really enjoy it!

Cooper at the Dino Park

We have a SUPER AWESOME DINO PARK by our house!!
It's basically a big sand pit, and before they put the sand in, they built-in dino fossils in the concrete. Yes,... FULL dino bodies!! There are LOTS of shovels, pails, and even brushes to uncover the dino "Skeletons"!
It's GREAT!!!


Cooper got dino shaped sandwiches for the special event (thanks to Grandma Cissy)!!

They have special diggers to uncover the treasure. Cooper couldn't dig, so he decided to use some "hand power" to fill the digger!!

With Cooper's MOMS club, we went and played putt putt golf!
Which, just so happens to be, one of Cooper's FAVE things to do!!

Camping

Lexi & I went camping recently with her Girl Scout troop.
Now,... stop laughing at the thought of ME camping and finish reading this post!
YES,... it was a little miserable - especially when the torrential rain came and I thought we MIGHT be in a monsoon! But,... we DID have fun,... except for the part when I THOUGHT glow necklaces an bracelets would be FUN for all of the girls and they kept busting - only ONE eye injury and ONE poodle injury!!

Besides that,... here's are fun pictures!!
