One of our FAVORITE summertime activities is VBS!

Yes,... there are not pictures of Cooper in his class.
I teach Kinder at VBS, and our schedules do not allow me to "run in" to Cooper.
So,... that's why - nobody better give me any FLACK!

Lexi's Acting Summer Camp

During the summer, Lexi took 2 weeks of acting camp... and she LOVED it!
For 2 weeks she learned a musical - The Aristocats, and at the end they had a performance in a REALLY nice theater at the end. It was SO awesome!!!!
Lexi played the part of Edgar - she was upset at first because it was BOY (Ewwww...), but once her teacher explained that she got that role because it was the only FUNNY role, she was all good! She did a GREAT job!!


Granny & Grand-daddy were able to come!

Uncle Mark and Aunt Janis surprised us and came - they were able to bring Aiden!

We went to Monument Cafe afterwards and ran into one of Lexi's cast-mates, Ashlynn.

That was SO very nice and meant SO much to Lexi!!
Really, we were just trying to recruit for next summer!!

She did SO great!
She is going to take acting in the fall as well....

Baby Kendall

Her name is Kendall and Lexi LOVES her!!

Corpus

On the last day of our Portland/Port Aransas / Corpus trip, we went to the State Aquarium and played around town for a little while.

They even have a "Big Daddy's Ice Cream" shop!

Lexi got to pet a sting ray!!
Cooper wanted NOTHING to do with that!

At the Beach

This summer we went to visit my cousin Julie and her family!
It was a LONG over due trip and we had SO much fun!!

OF COURSE, we had to take a trip to the beach - We <3 the Beach!!

Will was HARD to catch... he is ALWAYS on the move. So,... he is NOT actually posing, I just caught him that way :)

One night we were going through pictures that Julie had of us in high school.
We came across this postcard I had sent her...

The FUNNY part is; "If you need me, just beep me"... followed by instructions on HOW to beep me! OH MY GOODNESS - TOO FUNNY!

We were SO tired, but I had to sneak in a picture of Clarence and me!

BAD BBQ

On the way to go visit my cousin Julie and her family, we decided to stop off in some little town that had a thousand BBQ places and eat. OF COURSE, we picked the worst one.

The parking lot was full,... but I am guessing this must be an acquired taste!

So,... here you go - 2 thumbs DOWN!

You pick up your meat by a fire pit... NO plates... NO forks...
That is a tea spoon we are using to try and eat with.

Randomly, they did sell whole avocados as a side... so... we all ended up paying WAY too much for an avocado half
(since that is the only thing that was good)
and ate it with a SPORK!

Lindsey's Baby Shower

One of my friend's from high school had her baby shower.

Thw Weinheimer's Visit

Clarence's Aunt Joan and Uncle Phil came in from California,...
so that gives a good reason to get together; at our house.
We had a GREAT time!

The boys played washers... thanks to Aiden who taught everyone the correct form.

The boys learned baseball. It was all fun and games until Cooper accidentally knocked one of his second cousins straight in the chest... luckily it wasn't the face!
