Thanksgiving Tasting and Poetry Slam

4th grade put on a "Poetry Slam". It was AWESOME!

The kids dressed up like "Beatniks" and dressed all in black.

We all had to snap instead of clap...

SO CUTE!!

We had SUCH a FUN day!!

In the mean time... Kindergarten put on a Thanksgiving Singing Play.

Cooper was a pilgrim an stood with Pilgrim Women, Native Americans, and Turkeys... it was SOOOOO cute!

Afterwards, the kids got to have a traditional Thanksgiving Meal - similar to the very FIRST Thanksgiving.

That morning, the kids shelled green beans, shucked corn, and made butter.

They all brought in a piece of cut up fruit and put it all together for a "Friendship Salad"! How cute!!

Here's a scoop of the butter that the kids made in class:

Cooper put the ENTIRE thing in his mouth... with nothing else.
