July 4th Block Party

For July 4th, all of the neighbors grilled and we all hung out in the front. It really was SO much fun - besides the few close calls we had from cars that were driving by!

YIKES!

But, we learned a lot (for example - it is a VERY bad idea to have a water balloon war across the street)... and still had a GREAT time!

We busted out the water balloons... this is just in the beginning...

Ended with Cooper crying, everyone was SOAKING wet,

and nobody ended up going to see fireworks...

We were just having too much fun!

Sparkler Fun:

Cooper did not do Sparklers, so we bought him those poppers:

And,... yes - he is wearing Ear Muffs, "just in case there is a loud firework" :)

I made Rice Krispies on a stick with Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles.

They were SUPER cute, but it was SO hot outside, they were falling off of the sticks.
