Spring Break 2008 in S-town

Recently we became overwhelmed with our bathroom project and decided to cancel our Spring Break trip to Louisiana to work on the house. The kids were VERY upset,... mainly because we were planning to stay with my parents on our way there. So,... Clarence & I came up with the decision for the kids and I to go to their house for 3 days while he & his dad put up the cement board in the bathroom.
So,... on the full day that we were there, my dad ACTUALLY had off,... so we, OF COURSE, had to go to the Sea Center!! It was a GREAT day!!
Here are the kiddos as we are waiting for them to open - do YOU think we were eager?
Since we were there so timely, we got to help raise the flag!
Lexi considered it a HUGE honor to help out!

Tuh-duh!....

Of course, we MUST donate some money to our sea friends!

They have a cool table that you can put a paper over different sea images and rub crayons over the top. Check out the tongue!!

Here is Lexi - VERY interested in what this man is telling her!!

Here are the kiddos in their super cute new Sea Center shirts. Take a GOOD LONG look at Lexi's!! Because later, she took it off and I LOST IT!! OOOHHHHHHHHH the drama!!
"Mom of the Year"!!!!

So,.... there is a "touch tank" where you can use just one finger and touch sea anemone, star fish, crabs with one finger claws, and more....
Look at how cute they look!
As SOON as I snapped this picture......

I HUGE FISH CAME UP AND BIT OFF COOPER'S ARM!!

Not really.... But the way he carried on, you would have thought so!! Now, before you go "Ahhhhhhhh, POOR COOPER".... let me explain... these were only small minnows, and the fish, JUST bumped into his finger!!
We had the great pleasure of getting a "Behind-the-Scenes" tour.
It was very interesting!
Thanks Mr. Tom!!

Here are the boys peeking into a hole of one of the tanks where the fish are bred.
Wonder what they are looking at?

The guys are paying close attention to Mr. Tom explain about how small the eggs are!
VERY cute!!

And,... are final picture is the fam with Mr. Tom on the pier. We had just fed the fishies, but they weren't very hungry.

Later, we went to go out to eat.
Here is Big Daddy with his boys!!

Next time, we will plan it to make sure and see Gordon!
